IPEB has facilitated 3 stakeholder education forums for the KZN MEC of Education, facilitated both ABET and Early Childhood Development (ECD) izimbizo. IPEB has facilitated Art Competitions and a Career’s Week for the high schools in KwaZulu-Natal.
IPEB is working with the Office of the Premier providing technical support to the Office on the Rights of the Child in developing structures at provincial and local municipality levels to promote and monitor service delivery to children. IPEB is also working with the ECD Learning Community to develop a national advocacy strategy to promote awareness of the importance of the pre-school years to social and economic development.
The current focus is on consolidating its work on strategic issues relating to the children’s sector.
